Extending DOE Authorizations

Final Policy Statement Extending Non-FTA Export Authorizations to 2051
During President Trump’s trip to Midland, Texas, yesterday (July 29) he announced that the U.S. Department of Energy was finalizing their policy statement to extend LNG export authorizations to non-FTA nations until Dec. 31, 2050. This extension was requested by Cheniere and supported by LNG Allies during the mid-2018 comment period on DOE’s fourth macroeconomic impacts of LNG exports study. DOE setup a page with links to the upcoming Federal Register notice and templates for holders of existing non-FTA authorizations and those with pending applications to submit.
