Fred H. Hutchison is President & CEO of The USLNG Association (trading under the global brand “LNG Allies”). An advocate, communicator, and entrepreneur, Fred has been a government and public relations generalist for more than four decades and is a trusted adviser to private and public sector leaders worldwide. Prior to founding LNG Allies, he represented America’s land-grant universities for a dozen years. Early in his career, he was a legislative assistant for energy and natural resources for U.S. Sen. Douglas C. Hengel is Senior Consultant to The USLNG Association, Senior Fellow at The German Marshall Fund of the United States, and an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. A former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, Doug was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. embassies in Rome and Bratislava, and served at the U.S. missions in the Czech Republic, Peru, and Venezuela. He was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Energy, Sanctions, and Commodities from 2007 to 2010, where his responsibilities included formulating and advancing U.S. international energy security policy, including relations with the International Energy Agency. Doug has a B.A. from Colgate University and a M.A. in Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton.
