LNG Allies held in the Diplomatic Green Room during the World Gas Conference. Let me give you a quick recap of what we accomplished this week…
We helped to launch the Global Natural Gas Coalition on Monday.
We hosted ambassadors, DCMs, energy attaches, and visiting government/company officials from: Albania, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cote d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam. (26!!)
We held meet-and-greet events with four assistant secretaries (two from Commerce and one each from Energy and State) and the Deputy Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA).
We hosted three cocktail parties where we focused on Central Europe, the ASEAN nations, and India.
We had five or six ambassadors at the CE event on Monday (and one energy minister!) and the CEO of GAIL (India) at yesterday’s party.
We conducted three briefings on U.S. natural gas and LNG exports, including two with the reverse trade missions organized by TDA.
