Washington, DC – Our Energy Moment (OEM) announced today that Fred H. Hutchison has become the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization representing a diverse group of businesses and economic development organizations dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the many benefits of expanded markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG). Hutchison is the founder and Executive Director of LNG Allies and will continue in that role.
“Fred has done a tremendous job over the last two years building bridges between US LNG exporters, upstream gas producers, foreign governments and their LNG customers in several markets, Europe being the most prominent,” said Andrew Ware, an OEM spokesperson. “OEM and LNG Allies have very complementary missions, and the OEM Board is confident that Fred is the ideal individual to help both organizations grow and thrive as the nascent US LNG exports industry expands in the coming years.”
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for the LNG industry. This week, Cheniere Energy dedicated their Sabine Pass Liquefaction project in Louisiana, and the Louisiana legislature proclaimed LNG Day at the state capitol in support of jobs and economic prosperity created by LNG exports.
“I am honored by the trust that the OEM Board has placed in me and I look forward to helping them grow their grassroots organization while coordinating closely with LNG Allies,” said Fred H. Hutchison, Executive Director of OEM and LNG Allies. “We are still at the beginning when it comes to US LNG exports and thus it is very timely to expand OEM’s presence in Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Colorado and add new chapters in other states.”
