European Energy Envoys Brief Senate Staff

On Wed. April 30, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee sponsored an LNG export briefing for Senate staff. Participating in the briefing were the Ambassadors-at-Large for Energy Security from Hungary (Anita Orbán), Slovakia (Pavol Hamžík), Bulgaria (Lachezar Matev), and Romania (Mihnea Constan-tinescu).

According to the Embassy of Hungary: the four energy envoys talked “about energy diversification and how U.S. LNG exports could change the energy market in Central and Eastern Europe.” For full report: Click Here.

The briefing followed a two-day conference co-hosted by Hungary (which holds the Visegrád Group (V4) presidency through June 30) and the Atlantic Council entitled “American Energy Prowess in a Strategic Foreign Policy Perspective.” Event Details: Click Here.
